Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.
GoCarer will send you reminders for any appointments you have booked with us via Text message. Text messages also serve as a communication tool between GoCarer and yourself, including but not limited to making complaints, compliments, enquiries and feedback. All communication between GoCarer and yourself are logged for internal auditing and safeguarding purposes. A log of all communication can be accessed through your email and phone SMS history, and by going to My Account and selecting My Messages if you are signed in.
In the near future, we are also planning to send other health information out by Text message such as letting you know that your results are back, or that we need to get in touch with you. We might also occasionally send information about special clinics and workshops we are running that you might be interested in.
The Text message service should not be solely relied upon, as the responsibility of attending and cancelling appointments still rests with you, but we hope this will make things easier.
Messages are generated by an GoCarer secure service, however they are transmitted over a public network to a personal phone. We will never transmit any information that would enable an individual patient to be identified, or specifically which tests they have had.
By continuing, you are giving consent to GoCarer contacting you by Text message for the purpose of health information and appointment reminders. You will ensure that you keep us informed of your up to date mobile number at all times, or if the number is no longer in your possession.
You can inform us your up to date mobile number by sending us Text message, or update your account details under My Account page.
SMS and data rates may apply. All users have the right to change their minds and have this service stopped. If you no longer wish to receive Text message please notify us in either writing or sending 'STOP' to our Text message. By doing so, we assume you terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, please refer to Termination for more details.
GoCarer's fees are for the provision of services by its employees. These will be notified to the purchaser / client before GoCarer commences therapeutic support services. Any special fees or terms with the purchaser / client will be confirmed, in writing by and authorised representative of GoCarer.
The services purchased from GoCarer must be paid at the time of booking sessions. The only exception is if your therapeutic care is funded directly by your local authority or NHS via spot contract.

GoCarer cannot offer medical, financial or legacy advice. GoCarer can signpost information regarding state benefits, medical, direct payments and personal health budgets.
Clients must make changes to the time, date or location of any appointment with at least 24 hours notice before the original appointment time.Clients may also cancel appointments, with no administrative cost, with at least 24 hours notice before the original appointment time. There will be no refunds if client does not give notice of cancellation within 24 hours, or fails to attend the appointment.
Notice of any changes or cancellations to appointments can be made through contacting us via Text Messages (see 'Email and SMS Text message' in Terms of Service).
GoCarer recommends that a minimum of 1 therapist and 1 carer are introduced to every client. We will always provide cover in the event of a regular therapist or carer is unavailable due to annual leave, sickness leave or training cover. We endeavour to provide the same therapist and carer on each Action Plan timeframe.
If there are adverse changes in weather conditions, making travel unsafe, we will contact you via Text Message to reschedule the visit.
We endeavour to ensure your staff member arrives to the session on time, if there are any unexpected delays we will contact you to advise as soon as possible.
GoCarer provides services between 08:30 - 18:30 Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays.
GoCarer understands its responsibility in line with the Data Protection Act 1998. Any information relating to you or your family will be retained in the strictest confidence. Access to information is limited to external bodies essential for continuity of care or education with your consent. We will only contact third parties, for example the local authority or NHS if there is a risk to your health or welfare, or that of someone else. All information is passed on a need to know basis only (only shared with the professionals who need to know) and passed with the strictest confidence. We will tell you or your family (where telling your or your family would not create a situation of harm to self or another) when we need to tell someone about a concern.
We will never share your information for marketing purposes, without your expressed consent.
GoCarer is committed to the health and safety of all clients, their families and our staff. With this in mind, we provide health and safety training for all our staff at regular intervals. We will work with you to identify risks and methods of reducing risk. The recorded risk assessment is reviewed regularly and updated as required. The law requires that GoCarer staff members and the people we support (and families) are mutually responsible for health and safety in the workplace (usually your Home).
All GoCarer Policies and Procedures are available upon request. Please contact GoCarer via Text Messages (see 'Email and SMS Text message' in Terms of Service). Many of our Policies and Procedures are also available in Easy Read, we will advise you which policies are available in Easy Read when you contact us.
GoCarer is insured by Towergate Insurance. Our policy covers:
GoCarer accepts no liability for the actions of any persons in its direct employment except where such actions relate to the duties of the staff resulting from the course of such employment.
No liability shall attach to GoCarer in respect of natural disasters, riots, civil commotion, usurped power, strikes or labour disturbances or any other circumstances which are beyond the control of GoCarer at any given time.
All GoCarer staff have completed full Enhanced DBS with Children and Adult Barring checks.
GoCarer staff are not permitted to drive your vehicle due to insurance liability limits.
Whilst GoCarer team members will endeavour to respect you and your property, and will handle your belonging with care. GoCarer accepts no responsibility for breakages / damages within your own home as should be covered by your own home insurance.
GoCarer staff are not permitted to accept any gifts from clients at any time. If you are pleased with our staff member please do contact GoCarer and provide feedback. Your feedback forms part of supervision and appraisal and may affect performance related pay and career progression. You are welcome to give cards such as thank you or holiday cards.

We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
Our Service may contain links to thirdparty web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by GoCarer.
GoCarer has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that GoCarer shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any thirdparty web sites or services that you visit.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Country of United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
